It has taken me several days to be able to write a REVIEW for OAKEY'S & I would give them a 10 Star Rating if it were available. Matthew Kolnok @the Roanoke Location made our HEARTBREAK easier to deal with. He is SO GIFTED in this line of work & I wanted to THANK HIM + OAKEY'S for taking such WONDERFUL CARE of our Fur Baby. We have used Oakey's pet crematory services a number of times over the years and I cannot express how grateful we are for the compassion and professionalism Marjene showed during such difficult times. Losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking, but the staff treated our furry family members with the utmost dignity and respect from start to finish. Staff needs training on how to properly keep records. To have you pick up your cats remains then call the next day to tell you the remains are ready because “no one told the other person it had been picked up” is completely unprofessional. It is a stressful enough time without the added stress of not knowing if you have picked up your beloved pet or someone else’s. Please do better.
