A 3 hour wait just to be sent home without antibiotics or a proper clean and basically laughed at when I asked if a tetanus booster was needed after my son sliced his hand open on rusty barbed wire!
I had to go to the hospital in Oakey Sunday evening for a tetanus injection due to an injury 20 min. before hand and as it had been quite some time since my last booster thought it prudent to get another. I found no-one available to let me in so I came back early the following morning. It was about 40 min. before two nurses asked what my problem was. I could not thank the Oakey Ed department more if I tried. I’m such busy times over Christmas they went above and beyond for me. The care is excellent and making sure that I was fully aware of what I needed to do to heel correctly Thankyou again could not be more happier
Very surprised with how clean and friendly this hospital is. Compared to Toowoomba base Hospital it's the Ritz. The food is great, the staff are lovely, the rooms are clean, communication is great and the services are fantastic. My mother looks a lot happier here.
