Would not recommend Oakes in any situation. They were the contractor hired by the builder to install HVAC in our new home 2 years ago, and have been horrible to work with from the start. We had an issue immediately with the downstairs unit - loud vibration and a gurgling sound coming from the gas vent pipe venting the unit to the outside of the home. Made a new installation at my house. Set the downstairs master bedroom bath and closet to run off the upstairs thermostat. Would not return to fix it. Did not install a bypass in the ductwork. This caused my heat exchanger to go bad. Would not recommend this company under any circumstances. They do not know what they are doing. They do not care to correct their mistakes.
Prompt and professional service. They resolved my AC issue quickly and efficiently.
This company is a great example of why I chose small businesses every time. There was an issue with my AC unit since it was installed during COVID, and there were limited resources for the install. I reached out to Oaks, and they sent out a master tech the very next day. He went through my entire system with me, and then had all the issues corrected with zero downtime on the units. Less than impressed with this business. HVAC system went out three days ago during a heat wave. Was told to call Oakes as it constituted an emergency. They said someone would be there by end of day…. Nothing. Next day explained to the company that it was 88 degrees in our home, and they continued to kick the can down the road saying “we’ve been paging our technicians someone is coming”.
