I've been shopping with Oakes since the late 1990's, and in all that time I've only had one plant that didn't do well, and they replaced it without any questions asked. I highly recommend placing you order by phone at least once, as the folks who answer the phone are so delightful! I have noticed that the plants aren't as consistently large as they used to be years ago, but it doesn't seem to affect how well the plants perform. Attaching a few photos of the the 9 plants I got this year.
I actually placed an order a few years ago now and kept meaning to come back and review. These daylilies are so hardy... I have them in pretty hot SC sun and they have done so well! I plan to order more once I can figure out layout!
I have placed several orders with this company. I received healthy plants that grew and bloomed nicely.
I have placed two orders from Oakes and both have been exceptional. The plants I have received were a very nice size and produced green leaves very quickly. Both orders were planted in the Aug and Sept heat of the southeast. One plant even produced stalks and flowers within a month of planting.
