Comfortable bed. Quiet during night to sleep. Showers with good water pressure. Very nice hot breakfast made to order always with a freshly made sweet bread or muffin. Nice owners and employees. Rooms are comfortable enough. Eclectic decor. Interesting old house that has been transformed nicely.
My mom booked a birthday weekend and unexpectedly ended up in the hospital with no discharge date for the foreseeable future. They refused to change the dates for a later time or refund with over a week's notice.
Id like to offer a very heartfelt thank you to Jay and Margie for their unparalleled hospitality. The room was fantastic, the breakfast was spectacular and the conversations made my day. My only regret was missing you on my way out. I am looking so forward to my next visit to the area. Thank you all so much for everything. And if you ever find yourselves in our neck of the woods, we'll be thrilled to have you.
Stay here if you want a unique, historical, comfortable accommodation where you can see framed artwork, entire painted wall depicting fox hunt, a Narnia inspired wardrobe, see family military collection, walk beautiful grounds, learn about the Poor House history, visit the cemetery and enjoy a fabulous homemade breakfast hosted by a wonderful, friendly, informative couple Jay and Margie! We loved our stay! It’s a very cool place.
