RecommendedI purchased curriculum for 5th and 8th grade. It arrived sooner than they projected and I ordered one thing incorrectly and they called me to ask about it before guessing. Now my kids and I are 12 weeks into the curriculum and I am very happy with it. My kids, particularly the 5th grader are moving through it pretty fast, much faster than the curriculum paces. Very disorganized and unable to guarantee delivery within the shipping range paid for. They offer excuses instead of solutions.
This curriculum has been the best fit for our children. We have utilized other curriculums and even enrolled with a private Waldorf school, however, we keep coming back to Oak Meadow. It’s thorough and well organized, but offers lots of flexibility.
We have used Oak Meadow for 6 years, and I hate to say it's going down hill. The earlier years were great but in 7th grade(this year) there are so many mistakes in the curriculum. Spelling, math, and asking for us to read books for the curriculum that we have not gotten in the 7th grade package. It's very frustrating and confusing to me and my daughter. This curriculum has been fantastic for both of us. It is really in tune with the kids development, the synchronicity is stellar.
Great curriculum. I love how the history curriculum challenges the student to think critically, not just memorize facts.
