Our visit at O-Ku made us feel like royalty!!! We sat the bar and were served by Bridgette, Caitlyn, and Ally, who were well informed with our choice of apps. and kept our drinks topped off all night. We decided to do a handful of appetizers which were AMAZING!!! O-Ku will definitely be at the top of our list on our next visit to Charleston!!!! We also thanked Robert, the manager, for running a AWESOME staff. Kudos ����������������������������������������
1.) This is the best sushi in Charleston but that doesn't say much because there aren't many places to choose from. 2.) Worst service ever! We made reservations for a party of 12 at 8 pm. There was another party of 12 there that didn't have reservations. I think they thought that party was our party...so we had to wait 40 mins to get a table that we had reservations for. Great sushi place on the West Side! Sure, they've got the tasty rolls, nigir and sashimi options, but they also have great omakase options (chef's tasting), creative appetizers that I haven't seen anywhere else, and great hot dish options. For appetizers, I LOVED the hamachi carpaccio and the scallop tiradito! Oh, and do visit their rooftop patio, which has gorgeous views of Atlanta.
Great views! Great sushi! The service and atmospher was awesome! The server was knowledgeable about the menu and able to make suggestions based on our tastes and answer our questions..very helpful!
Food - meh. So overpriced for what it is. We have plenty of sushi places in Atlanta is this is definitely not even top 5 (whether it's a a sushi roll smothered in fake crab or a small, chewy piece of tuna sashimi, it's just not all that good). Alcohol - They've got a decent liquor selection and they make decent mixed drinks and cocktails. I enjoy this place primarily as a pregame or a late night drink spot. The sushi rolls are terrific here, and they have a special where it's half off sushi rolls on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m. That's my kind of happy hour.
Great sushi and better views! The rooftop here when it's nice out is hard to beat! This is a place where I would come for a date or a birthday party! The staff is awesome and always accommodating.
