I drove my mother due to her sickness. We described her symptoms and it seemed they didn’t care about her. We arrived at 10pm on 8.4.2025 and got registered within 10 minutes. However, in the emergency we were placed on the hallway next to door where people come in and out. ⸻ If I could give zero stars, I would. I visited the emergency room on a Friday due to severe lower abdominal pain. The physician ordered lab tests, which revealed an abnormal white blood cell count. Despite this, I was told that my lab results were “great” and nothing to worry about. The physician told me I was constipated and sent me home with over the counter medication. if you can, go to mount sinai beth israel for pediatrics they have much better bedside manner and took me a lot more seriously!!! difference was night & day I had an acute infection and abscess and they denied me antibiotics and violated HIPAA several times. It took forever to get me discharged with no medication because they had no idea how to handle an unaccompanied minor legally (In an ER in NYC… really? do you not get kids/teens alone ever?) and when I went to Mt Sinai like an hour after discharge I was immediately given... read more
