I am almost 1 year post op kidney transplant, everyone is supposed to be assigned a case manager and social worker. None established, And the supervisor Catherine has never returned my call to rectify the gross incompetence. May 2026 I’ve had 2 biopsies of my kidney and both doctors will not sit or speak with you about the results. Why?
I initially considered NYU Langone Transplant Center one of the best, but my experience was extremely disappointing. During the pre-evaluation process, they found some reason to deny my case and did not allow me to request a review or appeal the decision. They also did not consider it necessary to communicate the results of the tests or provide proper follow-up. My grandmother had a deceased-donor kidney transplant at NYU Transplant Institute a little over two year ago. During the pre-transplantation and pre-transplantation process, the team of doctors, nurses, care coordinators were phenomenal. They made us feel supported throughtout the journey and we wouldn't be where we are today without them.
