I’ve had the opportunity to talk to and hear Dr. Emily Weidenbaum speak about her approach to patient care, and it’s immediately clear how thoughtful and compassionate she is. She has a warm, calming presence and explains complex topics in a way that feels both clear and reassuring. As a gay man, it was especially meaningful to hear her speak openly about inclusive care and the many paths to family building.
Dr. Emily Weidenbaum is an incredible physician. She is compassionate, patient, and takes the time to clearly explain every step of the process. Fertility treatment can be very stressful, but she makes you feel supported and truly cared for. Her staff is also wonderful kind, organized, and always responsive, which makes the experience much smoother. I always felt listened to and confident in her care. Highly recommend her and her team.
I had a wonderful experience at NYU Fertility Center as a patient of Dr. Berkeley. From the very beginning, he was incredibly detailed and straightforward, providing clear facts and setting realistic expectations. Very negative experience from our egg retrieval!! It turns out the anesthesia was not part of NYU langone and they have no idea what's the cost. And it is out of network. We called them to get the number for the anesthesia doctor bill department, and they can't even provide us a correct number. From our insurance claims, we saw a claim with almost 8000$ (our responsibility part), for 15 minutes IV sedation?? Whenever you are actually at the fertility center everyone is great. However, if you try to call anyone or get help over the phone, it is impossible to reach an actual person apart from this outsourced answering services they have. On multiple occasions where nurses have called me and I have missed their calls, there was no way for me to call them back and reach them, it always get connected to the answering service.
