Tranquility, community, wisdom, beauty
I was traveling thru San Francisco in 1978 after reading one of the rinpoche books and went to the institute when the Buddhist historical books were published and helped do some sheetrock work and bought time space knowledge, hidden mind of freedom and massage book. it changed my life, and some of my friends. True kindness.
Try the drop-in Kum Nye classes, and if you can manage it take one of the all-day Saturday Kum Nye workshops. Completely pressure-free guidance, and you will learn some surprising, wonderful things about how your mind and body can work together.
I have worked here as a volunteer (for The Tibetan Aid Project) for almost a year now, and I have found this to be a warm, welcoming, refreshing place, with lovely, positive people and energy.

An inspiring, calm and peaceful place. High recommend anyone to visit the Institute and spend some times among the roses trees and the prayer wheels for inner peace and a feeling of happiness.
