Do NOT give them a “refundable security deposit” in order to apply for a unit. In NYC, it is illegal that they require you to do that to apply. City View Living is holding $1000 from me and refuses to answer my emails or calls.
Lies and says whatever you want to hear to get you to pay the deposit. Which is illegal as per the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019, it is illegal to collect a deposit before a lease is signed. Then when called out it being illegal they refuse to refund it.
Disgrace disgrace disgrace. I was robbed $3,000 from these people. I was set to get a apartment put in my deposit and then they come back saying the tenant is saying he’s staying. ok so I say hold my deposit for another place but I didn’t sign no application for the next place and they go ahead and process it??? How does that make sense I keep calling demanding for my money back and they refuse to I will once again keep trying and if not I have no other choice but to take legal action against these corrupt realtors. On Streeteasy, they always put fake information to lure tenants in. Would not recommend the sketch tactic they're using. Goose property said they had forwarded my requests and messages to the "owner" /broker, which is Fiddler. They NEVER got back to me. Very unprofessional, which is not a surprise in the real estate industry. Stay away from these people that's working with goose property management, tons of sketch things/developments that gets overlooked because they work with some person who works for the city.
