Cannot speak poorly enough of this experience. Though Dr. Kaplan was kind and professional, unfortunately my partner did not receive the care she needed to alleviate her migraines. Much more concerning was the office manager and staff that supported the front desk. My partner was consistently ignored on the phone, and when we provided negative feedback as to how long she had been delayed care, she was refused service by this practice. Really rude receptionists. I booked an appointment and was quoted I would be charged my $90 copay but then received an email from the office saying they were going to charge me an extra $118 for a consultation. When I called to clarify the receptionist was so rude and kept talking over me. Immediately canceled my appointment. Very shady to add extra fees last minute, I didn’t want to randomly get a bill in the mail with more fees. Wouldn’t trust them. So I will start off and say I had a nice appointment with Dr. Mohen back in July 2024 and she prescribed me medication to help with my migraines. She gave me a ton of samples and I’ve managed to stretch them. However since my appointment, I have been trying to get a prior authorization from NY Neurology to send to my insurance and they have not done so since July 2024! We are now in January 2025. Very unprofessional receptionist at the Gramercy office. I've been trying to get a follow-up appointment for 3 months (since Oct). I even called a different office location for help. Lori (receptionist) at Gramercy doesnt answer the phone and barely answers emails. She answered via email 1x at the end of Dec only to tell me the doctor was very busy and booked till the end of Jan. So I replied with a request for a February appointment and followed up 3 more times....NO RESPONSE.
