I purchased a gate kit twice. The first kit had the wrong parts in the kit. It looked like it had been shipped directly from the manufacturer as my retailer did not keep it in stock. It looked to be new in box. I contacted the manufactures customer service dept for a replacement part, they shipped one but I never received it. Record all dealings with this company. Verbal...video...both. Nuvo lies owner is shady huge temper if you question anything he will sue you rather than say 'sorry i made a mistake'. Pay the bit extra buy elsewhere. If you buy here document video audio cover yourself from this crook.
Poor design mechanics! My 47 inch Nuvo gate worked well and looked great for 6 years. This year, it has sagged 2 inches dropping gradually from the hinges tovthe opening. I have to lift it to open it. Heavy work for Granny! While it was assembled correctly, the small screws to hold the boards are not sufficient to keep the gate square and the boards from shifting out of place. I have hired someone to frame it with 2x4's in a Z shape. Fingers crossed! Buy another design. My 36 inch one is fine.
One hinge screw missing in each package. Just need one more
Purchased this product from Rona in Bancroft . The cap with the screw in it at least half the package had screws that were not drilled out properly, so the bit would not fit into them. Spoke to the lumber yard about this and they didn't seem to be concerned about it. Had to drive an hour to Belleville to pick up more. Not completely satisfied with this product. Have more decks to do in the spring.
