Great place always there to offer help and try to get what you need
Asked for a 1/2" drive 5/8" impact socket, the old guy brought out bolts. I said I needed a socket, they didn't have any so he tried to sell me a 19mm. I said no, 5/8" would be closer to 16mm, then he offered me a 24mm socket?? Make sure you know what you're after, you might be given the wrong part. Seems to be an isolated incident with all the good reviews, and service was quick despite being quite busy. Not sure if the guy that served me was all there honestly.
A genuine old-school fastener and engineering materials shop. Right down to the low ceiling, the long countertop, "just enough" lighting and the INCREDIBLY knowledgeable staff behind the counter. I went in with some pretty obscure requests (flange serrated bolts, Schnorr washers etc.) and they had everything in stock!!! Unheard of these days. Random springs, abrasives, high tensile threaded rod... ...it's all there. 👍👍 I'm surprised that more of us "hands-on" folk don't go there just to hang out. 😅😉 Places like this just... read more
