RecommendedThe Nutritious Thoughts team is such an important resource for Carolina Resource Center for Eating Disorders. We refer to them for quality care and we are fortunate to have them volunteer in various capacities. I am grateful to Kendra professionally AND personally and recommend her and the NT dietitians for anyone navigating through disordered eating or recovery from eating disorders.
How does one put into words a recommendation for someone who gave them their life? Honestly I wouldn't be here today had it not been for Kendra, she's amazing as are the rest of the ladies. She's challenged me to grow more than I thought possible and yet managed to do so without pushing me to resistance or giving up because I could not meet the goals. It takes a special talented person to guide and teach independence and she's done so masterfully. My only regret is she didn't move here sooner.
As an eating disorder therapist, it's vital that I have dietitians I trust to refer my clients to. I'm really protective of the messages my clients receive about food. Nutritious Thoughts is a number I always feel good about giving to clients. The dietitians are all compassionate and skilled. They get that the emotional component of eating can't be divorced from treating your body well. They balance leaving space for imperfection and not letting people off the hook for what they're capable of. I highly recommend them.
