I just want to thank the Paramedics, Emma & Jo who attended me on Thursday afternoon at the Town Hall light rail tracks, when I fell off the platform and broke my hip on the rails. Emma was fantastic at placing a canula, providing kind words, doing a blood test, getting me ready for the hospital and establishing the hip was broken. She stayed with me until I was admitted. Jo drove the vehicle gently to St Vincents Hospital and it was a good, careful ride. I hope they get 'employees of the month' for their service.
I am 87 and in awe of the ambulance people who attended to me last Saturday around lunchtime. My daughter wasn’t nearby at the time. She called for an ambulance, and a man rang me and stayed on the line, reassuring me till my grandson arrived. Then he kept talking to him till the ambulance people arrived. They were so professional and thorough and caring, and they took me to St Vincent’s, sitting with me in the ambulance. I am so so grateful. Thank you so much. Pamela.
