I had a very disappointing experience with NSU Dental. I contacted them because my old retainer (from when I was 12) no longer fits — I’m now 25 — and I was looking for an affordable replacement since my insurance won’t cover it and I can’t afford a private orthodontist. When I explained that I didn’t originally get my retainer from NSU, they told me they couldn’t help me and referred me to a private provider. I went to the dental school for what I thought might be a simple procedure over 4 years ago. The forced me to get procedures I didn't want done, they forced me to get a Carecredit card to pay my bill and threatened to kick me out of the program if I did not get these things done. They pulled 8 of my teeth and would not give me any pain medicine. I was in agony for 2 weeks.
