Would not recommend this practice or Dr Shirke based on my unfavourable experience. All I can think is they are too busy so I was rushed and treated as a number $$$. Going to lose vision but no real discussion on the diagnosis or tratment other than come back in 12 months. Not likely. Asked for more info and was reluctantly given a Google fact sheet. Received really good service across the whole clinic. I had previously been referred to another ophthalmologist in Townsville had received the worst service of my life which made me extremely anxious about then going to see the Dr there so I cancelled and booked with NQ Eye Specialists and received fantastic service from the moment I called the clinic to move my referral over, right through until I left the clinic from my appointment. Dr Shirke was great and had a lovely bedside manner.
I was referred to Dr Shirke and found her to be knowledable, friendly and easy to understand. However reception staff not so good at all, I won't elaborate.
