My husband and I came here for the first time shortly after moving to Albany. We were celebrating our anniversary, which we mentioned at some point, and were surprised with a special desert (like a Hungarian cheesecake) at the end of our meal. So nice! Novak's has been an icon in Albany for at least the 25 years I can recall. The food is fantastic. It's heartbreaking to know they are closing. Better try them before they're gone. Pay for a mug, too, while you're there. It's the end of an era.

We will be back. After hearing how good the food is, we drove from Eugene to check it out. Even though Covid has messed with supply chain, the food was very memorable and satisfying.
