Rushed to the Cape Cod Hospital for diverticulitis. Was treated with antibiotics but when I started throwing up, they knew it had burst. Enter Dr. Lawrence Novak with his outstanding knowledge, bedside manner, and patience explaining everything to me. He earned the "Chief of Staff" position. His "fairly new" surgery procedure was based upon another surgeon so I knew he kept up with the latest techniques. He saved my life because of this. Dr. Novak performed laparoscopic gall bladder surgery on me in April, 2021. Results were excellent and I recovered almost immediately. I had minor sensitivity in only 2 of the 5 incision areas and only for a couple days. I felt very good as early as the same afternoon of the surgery. At my post-op appointment 2 weeks after surgery, he was very attentive and gave adequate time to easily and adequately answer all my questions. He was both personable and professional and I am of the opinion he did an excellent job surgically.
