I unfortunately made the mistake of buying a Novak-Fleck "model" home this month and things are already going downhill fast. Buyers of homes who are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars shouldn't feel disheartened or embarrassed pulling up to the property but as a result of N-F and their actions, or lack thereof, that is my current situation. I mainly worked with David ******** (agent) but every now and then Dave ****** (project manager) would pop up to give me some kind of bad news such as informing me that the garage ... read more

I'll try to respond to these items one by one. The garage door opener was not in the home when you went through it and wasn't on the purchase agreement so it would not be included. The yard will be graded and cleaned up and black dirt installed once weight restrictions come off. The *********** puts on those restrictions and we have to follow them. Shingles don't seal until it reaches 70 degrees outside. Any drywall issues, the base board etc. were resolved on the walkthrough before the closing. Coffee was also washed off th... read more

I had issues with my rep through the planning and construction process but we got passed that. Once it came time for my end of year review the one and only person that evidently does these reviews came by and disagree with every concern I had. In the end reps were sent for garage door issue and popped sheet rock. Was pretty surprising how poorly the Sheetrock repairs were made and they also don’t repaint the repair. With every home we build we do a 1 year walk through of the home to fix items the homeowner has found that are covered in our builder paperwork and the home warranty we provide. As stated in our builder paperwork nail pops are due mostly to settling of the home and our paperwork says that we don't paint after we fix the nail pops and every buyers signs it so this item is made clear even before we build. This was a wonderful experience. I fell in love with the model the first time I saw it. I had had no intention of moving again, but my daughter brought me to see it as it was just a mile from their home. The size is perfect, the lot is lovely, and I was able to pick out all the amenities inside. I am so comfortable with the high quality of workmanship. I would never use this builder again. I built a house with them and they left garbage everywhere and refused to clean it up. Also spilled coffee all over the floor boards during the building process. No respect for something that doesn't belong to them. Like a previous review stated they use the cheapest paint possible that comes off on your hand in a powder form when you barely touch it.
