Sold to private equity..... disappointed but not surprised. So excited for the baked, in-house cakes to be shipped in frozen on the back of a truck! So excited for the price to skyrocket!!!!
I bought a cake for my son’s second birthday. I ordered it for “eating within 3 hours” so it was fresh not frozen. When I picked up, the box felt ice cold so I verified with the man working there who assured me it was not frozen, that it was just cold from the fridge. Wrong. We could not even cut into it at the party as it was frozen solid. I was so embarrassed. Expensive cake and no one could eat it, so guests ate ice cream only.
