Fairmount Fire Company had a great night at 1720 Nostalgia for our Annual banquet. The atmosphere was beautiful, with lighted chandeliers, ample space for tables to sit at least 85 people and pressed, neutral colored linens. The bartenders and wait staff were friendly and accomoding, bringing items that weren't on the table when requested (like additional dressing). Worst New Years ever at this place! For $286 per couple this place failed in every way. There was 1 bartender with a bus girl for about 300 guests. There was an hour wait with almost everyone in line for drinks. Cheap savory pastries, candy and cookies for appetizers. No servers, no one refilling water or anyone available for service. We left as we could see this was going downhill fast. People were complaining and really the owner should refund everyone that attended. It was that bad. We will never come here again. New Year’s Eve,2024.A complete disaster in this place. I like others, stood in a 2 bartender line ,for 75 minutes to get a drink! People were going crazy. The appetizer table for 300 people was, chocolates,Madeleine cookies from Costco,olives, pickles, salad and cheese. The condiments were in a coffee sized saucer……..for 300 people? What a great New Year's Eve party. The DJ's playlist was awesome. The food and drinks were great. The filet was to die for. I heard several "Karen's" complaining but I think they've never been out before! Lol. There was over 100 people and we all had a great time. Ali, the bartender was the bomb. Always had a smile on her face and she and the other bartender were busy all night.
