Norwood School has always be very happy to participate in any Drug Awareness Program, contest, and basketball free throw contest that the Tahlequah Elks Lodge presents. they are they to support the students in the importance of being a drug free life stye.
So far we love it! We haven't had any problems amd everyone is so helpful!
I attended norwood and graduated only 6 of us in our class in the 70's i so loved this school even though my teacher and coach was my cousin best school i ever attended Excellent
Both my children attended Norwood...19 years apart. We love this school! Neither child had a problem transitioning into high school and were both academically prepared. The teachers and staff were always caring, considerate, and informative. I hope my grandkids will live near enough to attend when they are old enough.
Norwood has the most caring teachers and staff a parent could ever wish for! Annie and Matthew are Blessed to attend a school with a good Christian atmosphere!!!
Wow, what's up with all the negative reviews? Our family has been going there for 4 generations now and didn't have any problems with bullying, education, or issues with the teachers. Norwood School always prepares the students for high school and always a grade or two ahead of the average high school student. The classroom sizes are fairly small enough where the students can get more one-on-one with the teachers.
They sweep bullying under the rug and tell us parents and kids "it's just drama". The principal /superintendent is the same person so in order to get something resolved you have to go over her head to the state. It's truly pathetic. I do hope this school gets shut down due to budget cuts. When they leave there to go to surrounding schools, they are under educated. That school is a true embarrassment.
