A shady business, to say the least. My elderly mother paid for her subscription for months without receiving a single paper. Her many attempts at resolving the issue through calling customer service have been fruitless, and she keeps receiving new bills even though they don't deliver her papers. Don't subscribe to this horrendous scam in the guise of a newspaper. They're unscrupulous dirtbags.

In the time I had a subscription, they did not cover sports at Woodstock Academy (HS for Woodstock, Pomfret, Union, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Eastford) even though they seem to report on every other school in our Division level and claim to report on Eastern Connecticut. Even basic news from this area is rare. So with that, I canceled my subscription and would not recommend to anyone in my area. If I wanted news for other parts of Connecticut I would read the Hartford paper.

I was a driver for four years.they told me I had to have the deliveries done by 5 am...I had 300 customer tubes. And when they had a problem with the presses or something else they NEVER took the blame always blamed me.... when I quit they kept my last paycheck said it was to cover the training for a new person...I moved back to RI that's why I quit

The paper itself has gotten smaller, yet the price has gone up, for us, its now at $50 a month. I appreciate the fact that there are less local news services, but what frosts me the most, is their habit of hiring less than bottom of the barrel delivery personnel. We've been through many in the last few years, most of which started off fine, then spiraled downward as time went on. If I didn't need lining for the bird cage or kindling for the woodstove, I would cancel in a second.
