Took my daughter here. Before proceeding with ensuring my daughter was ok, we were told that a fee of $400 would be required, even if we thought we have private health insurance. I understand that hospitals are a business too, but don’t come here with a child under 2 years of age, as they can’t admit them anyway or unless it’s a last resort.

This hospital is a disgrace. From start to finish nothing but issues. Despite doing my preadmission paperwork online and with surgeon, they had the wrong information at intake. They had admission information from 2014. Supposedly corrected...it wasnt. Surgeon couldnt call next of kin because he wasnt going to call my ex husband. Excellent care in orthopaedic ward, post hip surgery. Nurses, doctors, physios were all kind & provided professional care over the 5 days I was a patient.

Terrible experience. I was at Westmead Hospital with my young daughter, who had split her foot and needed stitches. I was told the wait would be around four hours before she could be seen. I then called Nepean Hospital and was advised that if I brought her in, a nurse would triage her and she would be treated shortly afterwards. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
