Northwestern Life Insurance is a terrible company. My wife had a policy that she paid premiums on for years and finally cancelled. She sent in four cancellations and told her agent to cancel it. We stopped getting statements and assumed that it was cancelled. We get a bill from the IRS saying that we had over three thousand in income from Northwestern. When we called them they told us that we had accrued money in the policy and that they had used it to pay premiums. (We were never told there was money in an account) This pay... read more
