Triple check your insurance before doing a home sleep study. I was not informed that the procedure was not covered at all by my insurance when pre authorization was not needed. I was stuck with a very hefty bill for a non medical necessary test. Overall poor communication. I have typically been informed of my coverage with any other procedure at Northwestern and falsely assumed all was good.
