I was suffering massive chest pain, extremely shallow breathing, and a burning sore throat. 99% sure when I went in that it was an allergic reaction to a new prescription from my derm. 10PM entered the ER. Within minutes the pulled me back for an EKG, blood draw, and chest x-ray. All is well. No cardiac related issues. I took my mom to the emergency room. They put a wrist band ID on her. After an hour she told me to go home and wait. 3 hours later no call so I tried to call the er to check her status. The receptionist looked her up and she's not in their system. I asked to talk to the er receptionist. He said no he can't transfer me there unless my moms in their system. How can they do that ... they make a mistake and I pay the price. What a hassle. Especially for a guy that had fusions done 2 weeks ago. What a load of ....

I had been here a few times a little while back... Other than downtown chicago this has got to be one of the worst emergency rooms I had ever been to for help... The nursing staff and the orderlies are very impatient and have zero empathy, understanding, and lack patience with anyone struggling with mental health issues! With that told... My mother came in for A-fib. From reception on we had the most positive and kind care givers. There were no rude people anywhere. The doctors and nurses took great care of my mother and spent a lot of time adjusting meds and answering questions. Great place for care when needed.
