Absolutely solid instruction and methods with an appreciation for artistry, craftspersonship, and seaworthiness.
Fantastic opportunity to discover your inner artist with wooden boats being your medium...
Keeping today's trade skills alive through a bit of history....makes life more interestinger :))
Old School skills, wonderful place
A perfect example of quality design and craftsmanship
My 1936 Danish spidsgatter PAX has the beautiful and smart contributions of at least 6 NWSWBB graduates who worked on her in the boatyards of Port Townsend over the last decade. Their integrity as craftspeople (yes, not just "men" in the trades here!), honesty, and ability to work well with other trades professionals speaks volumes to the kind of people drawn to, teaching, managing, and graduating from this school. A wonderful place to visit, too!
A prime example of how important the trades are. We do a disservice to many students pushing university degree programs, when the trades are so vital to our economy. What a great school!
