Sent my Mercury 175 crank in after my bilge failed and I awoke to a sunken boat, in saltwater. I had taken it to 3 machine shops locally and 2 said it was junk and to scrap it. The 3rd tried polishing and cleaning it up. It looked ok, but not ok enough to trust with needle bearings. A through google search of numerous places led me to Northwest Outboard Crankshaft.
