BEWARE! We dropped our dog off for a 4-day stay & scheduled to have him groomed. We returned from our trip, picked up our dog & took him home. A few hours later my wife noticed that he had an open bleeding wound under his leg. I called the kennel to inform them of the injury knowing it was after business hours. I assumed I would get a return call from them first thing the next morning. Nobody from the kennel returned my call the next day during their first 4 hours of business. A Pet Resort.... I was very pleased with all aspects of NW Kennels. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The facility was very clean and they even gave me a tour to let me see exactly where my dog would be staying. I was surprised to see how large the kennels were, giving my dog a lot of room to move around. I would recommend NW Kennels to anyone. My dog even gets excited to go there now!
The reason I bring my dog to Northwest K-9 Inn and Spa are a number of reasons- dog lovers work there, my dog genuinely loves going there, and the customer service is great. There is one more reason, and that was reinforced yesterday when I picked up my dog. The very nice person who released my dog to me asked me is it was alright if she had clipped his nails. I said "great". It's this personalized care that I really like. Thank you very much.
Edit/update: After posting this Northwest Kennels did follow up and is taking steps to address this. We had received inaccurate initial information on who was working at the time of the injuries. Additionally they have shown all crates were removed and could not have caused the second dogs injury and have evaluated the play areas to ensure safety. I love Northwest Kennels! We were traveling to Bellingham for a short vacation, and we needed to bring Oliver in for a few hours while we did some stuff in the area. They worked with our schedule and he got to get some grooming done too.
