What a nightmare. I went in for a sinus infection, which was confirmed. I explained that as someone who gets them all of the time, I really need antibiotics. The provider said she felt was viral (how do you know, there was no test to prove that), and denied my request. She then said she’ll prescribe me not one, not two, not three, but a whopping four cough suppressants! Dr. Marie Fuentes dismissed me and said I had allergies when I know it wasn't. I've had allergies my whole life and I knew something was wrong but she dismissed my concerns, even looking at my chart and seeing I had body chills and a painful throat and still didn't question it further. I understand they're very busy in there but the least you could do is hear me out. Came in with a cough that had been wearing me down for over a week. PA Linda was outstanding. She listened carefully, didn't rush me, and actually took the time to understand what I'd already tried before jumping to conclusions. She was thorough, clear in her explanations, and genuinely warm. You can tell she cares about her patients, not just moving them through.
