The ONLY thing this place is truly interested in is your money and how much of it they can get. It’s all about leaving a huge deposit before they will do anything. I’ve been given a wrong diagnosis by a tech who quite frankly shouldn’t be giving out any information since she’s not a doctor. I was told my cats condition was not an emergency after being sent there by my vet who said his condition could be fatal if not treated immediately and we sat there for hours. He could have died! I’ve been given ridiculous false info... read more

By far the worst vet hospital I have ever experienced, They lied about what they told my vet office would happen when I arrived. They also didn't read the form I filled out and had the wrong breed listed and said my dog was neutered when he is intact which was necessary information the vet would need. When I finally saw Ross Taylor, DVM the coldest vet I ever experienced, who didn't appear to even like dogs not once petting him or offering him a gentle word. I thought he was a tech because he didn't even introduce himself ... read more

I took my Pekinese, *****, to Northstar Vet in ************, where I had to make the agonizing choice between surgery to try to save ****** eye and surgery to remove it. ******************** told me removal was the better choice. Immediately after I agreed to have the eye removed, I was required to sign an estimate before they would proceed. The amount of the estimate was over $4000. The next day I realized I had been grossly overcharged. Channel 6 action News Troubleshooters agreed and aired the story, noting I was charged ... read more

Do NOT go to emergency services for reptiles. My geckos were sick and losing weight. The only good thing was the diagnostic tests. But speaking with the vet was absolutely awful. Ross Taylor, DVM is not an exotics vet. Why on earth is he giving inaccurate and lazy advice? I paid about $500. When I met with him after the exams, he gave a bunch of recommendations and I was grateful - one thing that stuck out to me that I didn't bother thinking about at the time was, when I asked about types of substrate, and liquid calcium/mul... read more

It seems to be a very well equipped clinic with qualified staff at first. My dog was treated there with a terminal illness. Technicians seem very polite and caring. But most specialists seem mostly concerned with getting as many tests done as possible. It is almost impossible to talk to the treating specialists. When my dog relapes, the treating neurolgist would not return any of my calls. I had to go the ER to get someoene's attention. No one ever explained the pros and cons of the suggested treaments. Nor did anyone exp... read more

On 05/29/2022 at approximately 8 pm I called this vet because my Shih Tzu was attacked by a large dog and was bleeding profusely from her chest by her leg. I was asked the type of dog I had and was told not sure if the vet could see her. I was put on hold for over 10 minutes to check with the vet. I find that this was unacceptable being that this is an emergency vet and my dog needed immediate treatment. I proceeded to hang up and contacted Garden State Vet in Tinton Falls. They were more than happy for me to bring in ... read more

I brought my 10 yo Malktipoo in for a lame L hind leg, checked in at 9:27PM was told it was a wait 3Hours plus. at 12:30 asked how much longer and was told there was one on front of me. That meant I was the last and only person waiting ( Interestingly I was not the last person to check in ) at 1:30am was taken to a treatment room " the vet would be in soon" after another half hour I Dared to leave the room to find out what happened, did they forget me. I WAS TOLD TO GO TO THE ROOM AND SIT. People skills 0, and I'm not a dog... read more

DR is good, the follow up is terrible. They did diagnostic test's which after the Dr advised me my dog needs an Internal Medicine appointment, when I tried scheduling the appointment which they do not have one for 6 months. HMMM. After paying for all the tests I now have to find a different hospital to accommodate the specialist. Thank goodness I found one that the wait is not 6 months. Her script was not ready when they released me dog so the advised me they were going to email it her normal veterinarian They neglected... read more
