This was the culmination of our weeklong trip to Juneau and it was fantastic, breathtaking, and exceeded our expectations! Everyone from NorthStar was exceptional!!! I highly recommend this company and tour; worth every penny!!!
Yas. This was a once in a while experience. Our helicopter driver was very experienced and had a smooth like unsalted butter landing which made us reassured for it was our first time on a helicopter. We had very good luck as it was super sunny. The company gave us all nessecary equipment such as gloves boots thick pants jacket and don’t wear thick outfit for then you will burn up unless it’s the wintertime. Our scouts from Tacoma went up on Wednesday, August 12th. It was, in the scouts and adults words, "Amazing " and speechless. The whole crew really made us feel welcome and comfortable. I've lead many tours with my scouts to Southeast Alaska, done many activities on my trips this was the most exciting one I have seen our scouts participate in. Oh, yes, I loved it too. The Glacier Trekking tour was outstanding. We did a late afternoon tour on August 8. The service from beginning to end is excellent. The helicopter flight up to the glacier landing spot is both thrilling and educational. The trekking guides also balanced adventure with learning. The provide almost everything you need, just be sure to bring a toque/beanie to keep your ears warm. This is certainly one of the best tours to obtain amazing photos of your time in Alaska.
Wonderful experience! NorthStar is a well-run outfit-they are thorough and efficient. The pilots were excellent, and so were the guides on the ice.
