I do NOT recommend Kristen Barkman. This therapist called my elderly aunts doctor and convinced her to put her on antidepressants. Instead of advocating for the proper care and diagnosis, which is DEMENTIA, she is pushing drugs that will (and now have) made my aunts dementia worse. Lauren Shendock is a wonderful, empathetic, and knowledgeable therapist. She is the first one I’ve experienced able to demonstrate cross-cultural competency. She cares, wants to help, and tries to offer as many resources within and outside to navigate through tough times. Lauren doesn’t judge or force things on you, but assures you it’s all your choice. Great listener and tries to understand you.
