I recently received a bill related to a medical procedure that was performed more than two years ago and which I believe was paid in full at the time. I have received no correspondence, statements, or collection notices regarding this account during the intervening two years. The Anesthesiologist was great, but the billing department is incompetent. I paid in full following my procedure in 2023. Over the last two years (2025 and 2026), I have received multiple notices saying that if I do not make a payment, my account will be sent to collections. I've had to call on multiple times now and they always end up confirming that my account is paid in full.
From now on I will check with my doctor to be sure they will not use Northstar anesthesia. I will refuse any involvement with this company. I had to go to the emergency room because of the incompetence of the anesthesiologist. Other than the pain associated with their mistake, I now have an additional $1,500 to pay because they're incapable of doing their job.
If I could leave negative stars I would. Update: I have emailed the provided email from below several times with no response. Even after just going ahead and paying them directly it’s still was sent to collections. Very frustrating experience with NorthStar Anesthesia. Horrible company. I have a billing issue with them. I have called them three times regarding my bill. They indicated that they would contact my insurance company and that they would let me know. I haven't heard back from them and now they turn my account over to a collection agency! If I ever need a procedure requiring anesthesia I will verify the provider. I will never use their services again!!
