Great building, spoiled bartenders – Northside tavern itself is really terrific. Now that they have opened the back stage and poured all that money into it doesn't SUCK. HOWEVER the people they hire there are just plain old mean. They are rude and you can tell they are accustomed to making a lot money, due to volume, no matter how they treat a customer. I say skip the Tav and go down the street to Chameleon. Yeah, they are smaller and newer, but you'll get a smile with your drink instead of a scowl.

Not Too Bad – This place isn't too bad but I'll have to disagree with the review that says it is better than the Comet. It is not. It's not bad but outside of the fact that it is located in Northside it there is nothing to really recommend it... Or not recommend it for that matter. They do have a nice courtyard in the summer

Best Bar in Northside – The Tavern kicks butt. It's way more relaxed than it's pretentious neighbor the Comet and has infinitely better service. The bands solid and diverse though maybe not in the best place. I haven't seen the new space in the back but I hear it's really rockin.
