Multiple surprise charges, as well as incorrectly billing me for thousands of dollars more than I owed. The doctor that saw me seemed to be in a rush, talked EXTERMELY fast, and wanted to just talk the whole time about what he knows and not the individual issues I was having. After meeting with Dr. Calahan, I had high hopes that I found a practice that would be everything "it" said it would be when I had my initial visit. Nothing could be further than what I experienced. From telling me how 'great' AeroCare is supporting their practice/patients to letting me know they have a 'dedicated' internal staff/team to work out any and all 'kinks' for the patient/customer to quick resolutions to issues - I didn't experience any of it. Save your money. I do not recommend this facility. Once the sleep study showed I didn’t have sleep apnea, they kicked me to the curb. Even though I don’t have sleep apnea, I do have a sleep problem. Sometimes I’m up all night because I can’t sleep. This is the problem I had when I was referred to this facility and this is the problem I still have. Worthless and a waste of time and money. Plus, it’s nearly impossible to get someone to answer their phones.
The doctor was kind and knowledgable, even though she was VERY confident about her misdiagnosis. Mostly though, her office staff was very "not my problem" about everything from scheduling referrals to helping get access to the patient portal. The receptionist did not even know the web address for the portal. Athena.com goes to an AI website, not a patient portal, but she was again VERY confident about the misinformation even when I explained that the web address was not right. Would not recommend.
