The receptionist is fantastic. The provider isnt a partner to my medical care as a clinician myself and im looking for a new one as soon as I can get in, that will listen to my reasoning and understand.
Dr. Lata comes off as defensive in our interactions. I asked a question about the treatment course she chose and you'd think. I further clarified how I asked because I wanted to be more informed about the selected course of my care. She then shared her reason hurriedly as if I was rude to ask in the first place. I don't know I can tell she is a capable doctor, but a crucial part of the job is patient interaction. The interactions are a bit more terse than Im used to. Dawn Itzie has ZERO REGARD for her patients’ time. My dad’s appointment was at 8 and she didn’t get to work and come into the room until 8:20, when her NEXT appointment was supposed to start, and i know that because it was my cousin and we were all together. She takes forever for simple appointments like medication refills when Dr. Zachowski and Dr. Rizvi only took about 15-20 minutes and we still didn’t feel rushed. The underlying bureaucracy and dysfunction makes this Northside practice nearly impossible to deal with. The staff try to be patient-focused, but there's only so much they can do.
