I took my dog in for the first time to NEVS tonight and was really happy. We saw Mary the veterinarian and she was so lovely. They didn’t pressure me to admit my old dog which is what I didn’t want to happen. They were understanding and gave me reassurance. And suggested I try some medication changes first before doing anything else. Personally I much prefer NEVS to SASH. I find sash is money focused, here they are animal and owner focused.
Two days ago we had to have our nearly 17 year old dog put to sleep in the middle of the night. Neroli, the vet, was so beautiful with us, really caring and supportive. They had a special room with a sofa where we could spend time with him privately and our dog lay between us in a comfy bed with a warm blanket. This made an incredibly difficult time a special one too. Afterwards we took as much time as we needed and Neroli took some ink paw prints and cut some of his fur for us to give to our children. Dr. Izidora is fantastic. She is so gentle and kind to my birds, she has provided them nothing but love when under her care. She has also provided them comfort in their times of need, I am so thankful for her. Thank you always Dr. Izi.
