We recently had a flash flooding event that affected our house. The local Northshore SES crew answered our calls for help and sent a crew around to sandbag our front gate. They did so with efficiency and kindness, and we had a lovely message from Nick the local manager afterwards to check we were okay and happy with the service. I can't thank this team enough, we are so lucky to have wonderful volunteers like these who are happy to give their time on a Sunday, in terrible weather conditions, to help their community.
Brad and the team came to assist us after a large branch fell on our house, following heavy rain. They were very professional and smart, and made our house safe to prevent further damage and water ingress. It was great to have the support of people to talk to in a time of 'drama' as well. My only complaint would be that the lady answering my original call was rude and acidic. I nearly wanted to hang up and stop the process just there!
