A lot of corners are cut when they build these homes so fast not to mention the maintenance guys who come in to fix things for your 1-year warranty are an absolute joke and always leave a mess for you to clean up. We had two guys come in to fix some creaks in our flooring and they hit our water line splattering wood dust and water all over everything in our kitchen that leaked into our downstairs bathroom and they used our kitchen towels to wipe some of it up and left a gigantic mess. Disappointed with Unfulfilled Promise – Hoping for Resolution I moved into my home in this community about a year ago. One of the main reasons we chose a corner unit was the clear promise—made during the sale—that the yard would include grass. This was a significant factor in our decision to purchase. I’ve lived in this community for almost 2 years and am becoming rather frustrated by DR Horton. It’s taken them 1.5 years to put grass in my backyard area (When purchasing the townhome I was told there would be grass and a walking path. We’re only just now getting grass because so many of us have complained, but still no walking path). They promised us grass in our front too but instead we got rocks.
