Purchased a mini home in July and wow what an experience. I’ll start with the timeframe. Long story short, add a month+ to the date given to move in. Second, ensure when you’re building or designing your home you include everything and I mean everything. If you don’t ask for a light fixture they will rough in a junction box for you. Front end staff have been very helpful, Rob specifically has been on the ball with us throughout our new home build process. Fast communication and knowledgeable responses has made this much less stressful.
they are a terrible company and bully you into doing what they want on your land, if u can buy from someone else... do so.
Our experience with Northrup has been incredibly frustrating, and we strongly advise against using their services. Communication from the beginning could have been better, with weekly updates consistently delayed by two to three weeks past the estimated completion date. Work reported as finished was often found to be incomplete, such as the house's exterior, which was only fully completed just weeks before closing.
