I was charged a $350 ER copay when it should have been a $35 walk-in clinic for a flu/RSV/Covid swab when sick. We've been going here 12 years and this is a new problem to us. We will not be back. Their billing dept said it's because there are ER doctors staffing it, but that is sneaky because IT IS NOT AN ER and I was not utilizing ER-level services. Do they even have the necessary equipment and ancillary services on site to qualify as an ER?
Unfortunately this is an ER. This is not urgent care. DO NOT GO HERE unless it is an emergency. They will charge you ER rates and you will suffer. Don't be like me, be wiser with this information and go anywhere else for urgent care. On a side note, is this ER even capable of trauma care like a true ER? Or is this place just scummy with billing practices?
UPDATE: We just received our THIRD bill from them. We've paid an ER co-pay, an urgent care co-pay, and now they want MORE. Unbelievable. Please stay far away from these hustlers. Wish we would have researched this "urgent care facility" before going. My husband went in for Covid, was told by the doctor they don't treat Covid. That was it. They took his blood pressure and sent him on his way. Then the bills came. This "urgent care facility" is actually an "emergency room" and they bill as such. Don't be fooled by the word, immediate care. They will charge you ER rates because the doctors are from the ER. I would have went somewhere else to get my stitches If I would have known. Customer service lady was extremely rude. Said that I should've read all the paperwork, and it explains that they are an ER. Good thing o s f just opened a 24 hour immediate care in roscoe hopefully everyone goes there.
