There were rats (or mice) in our rental unit that left feces around the apartment. After initially saying it was our problem to deal with we reported them to the city and they acknowledged it was a mistake to say it was our fault and agreed to send someone out to remedy the problem. We were also without heat in the dead of winter for days because they tried to make the repair on the cheap until finally they got approval from the owner to make the repair that was actually needed. We are extremely disappointed with the condition of the property at move-in, as well as the lack of timely communication and support from our assigned property manager, Todd Marcus. If you’re considering using Northpoint Asset Management to manage your rental property — please think twice. I trusted them with my home and they collected $4,000 in rent and deposit from my tenants and have yet to disburse a single dollar to me. They added unauthorized fees, withheld critical tenant info, and misrepresented the leasing process. Do not hire Northpoint. Stepahanie Mccoy is licensed with the Board of realtors but has no idea what she is doing. Northpoint was too lazy to enter actual utility charges so charged tenant a flat rate. This cost me $726.06 since tenant wasn't charge enough. Northpoint forgot to charge the tenant for 10 months of utilities.3 times Northpoint told me the PMA was expired, I needed to sign a new one with increased fees even though my original contract automatically renewed every year and North point can’t find the original. 4 pr... read more
