I worked with Steven when he was fresh out of school in his first veterinary clinic in Hermiston, OR. I can tell you he has always been a good guy and has a ton of compassion and tolerance. Especially when it came to how he was treated when he was thought to be "too young" to know what he was doing. They changed their tune when we told them he'd been the one caring for their pet all along. He was really good then and can only be more amazing now. I miss seeing him and working . He also has a good sense of humor.
Dr. Hjartarson and his staff are the best. My husband and I found a dog who had been hit by a car on a weekend day and our regular vet wouldn't answer his emergency number. As a last hope, we contacted Dr. H and he helped us get this puppy checked and on the road to recovery and a new happy home. After this experience, we decided that this was the Vet that we wanted caring for pets.
Dr. Hjartarson and his staff are the most professional veterinarian office I have had an association with. I had the difficult choice to make with regard to a horse I rescued and Dr. Steven's care and love for his profession helped give me an informed and a without a doubt decision.
