I have a Trust with them too. It's doing well - and a checking account which is not but it's small. ntrs impressed me as being professional, required I make an appointment but I return they were prepared! So different from retail banks with branches everywhere but you'll likely get better help over the phone than in person. Each has its place.
I have a trust with Northern Trust. I have so far this year 2016 they have lost over $100,000. Trusts under $2 million are automatically put in their funds so they can collect management fees and they invest in too many stocks so they can buy and sell to collect commissions. They have addmitted this to me, THEY ARE UNETHICAL!
