Such a fantastic experience from start to finish! We did the Rail Trail on a weekday, so it wasn’t too busy, which made for a really relaxed ride. We had a light sprinkle of rain, but honestly, it just added to the adventure. We ended up a little muddy, but that only made it more memorable! Really pleasant ride and the trail is well maintained and easy to ride.
Brilliant. The bikes definitely assist our 50 +unfit peeps to achieve the journey completion. Beautiful. Everyone should do it
In August 2025 after waiting some years in the hope of the full rail trail a group of 8 older women, veterans of all the Victorian rail trails, decided to travel north from Sydney and do the Casino - Lismore section, then drive the 100km through winding mountain roads to Murwillumbah. Despite heavy rain the first day at Casino we had a splendid ride there and back to Lismore. So beautifully built and wonderful scenery. More riders need to give this trail a visit.
