What a great way to spend a day! Spectacular scenery and so much to explore. We hired bikes from Better Bike at Murwillumbah station which I would highly recommend. They provide qualuty bikes and excellent information about the trail. This stretch of the track goes for 24km one way so if we walked we may have just chose sections. There are some great stops along the trail and the maps and signage is very informative. The trail is relatively flat so it caters for everyone including fur babies. Fun day for all!
Great rail trail
One of the nicest rides I have been on. 52 klms return but don’t have to go that far. Mostly flat and easy. Lots of parking and the tunnels have glow worms. Can’t wait to do it again.
Ich bin mit einem geliehenen 8 Gang Mountainbike hin und retour gemütlich mit 2 kurzen Pausen in 4 Stunden gefahren. Start und Ziel war Murwillumbah. Leider sehr wenig Café, bzw Imbiss Möglichkeiten entlang des Weges, nur die Farm und bei Burringbar 1 nettes Cafe inkl. kleiner Supermarkt. Sehr schöne Landschaft, der Tunnel ein Highlight. Wäre schön, wenn das Projekt, diese Strecke dann irgendwann komplett als Radweg ausgebaut wird.
